Rodrigo PATINO
Rodrigo Patiño is researcher at a national research centre in Mexico, Cinvestav, since 2004. He has studied Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in Mexico City. He has worked in scientific projects in Switzerland, Germany, Cuba and the United States of America. At this moment, he stays for a sabbatical year in the Paris Interdisciplinary Energy Research Institute at the University of Paris 7 – Diderot. Beginning with the development and application of physical chemical techniques in biotechnology, the research line of R. Patiño in the last years has been progressively oriented to the analysis of renewable energies. He is interested on the cooperation among different disciplines around a subject of research, and also to scientific public diffusion. He has led a number of projects with budget of Mexican agencies and a couple of projects with international agencies. Ha has published more than 20 research papers in international journals, including:

Dominique PÉCAUD
Dominique Pécaud received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Paris 10 Nanterre in 1978, and his accreditation to supervise research (habilitation à diriger des recherches) in Sociology from the University of Caen in 2012. He is Full Professor (PhD, HDR) in Sociology at the University of Nantes, where he also directs the Institute of Man and Technology at Polytech’Nantes (engineering school of the University of Nantes). He is affiliated with the Centre François-Viète (EA 1161) at the University of Nantes, and the CRC – Mines ParisTech.
His main research areas include the sociology and anthropology of risk prevention, the evaluation of technology on social action and the influence of the rationalization of risks on the formation of collective action, the epistemology and analysis of engineering sciences on the “social,” the interactions between action research, pluridisciplinarity and territory.
He specially published two books about “human factor”: : Risques et précautions, l’interminable rationalisation du social (Paris, La dispute, 2005), et Ingénieries et sciences humaines, la prévention des risques en dispute (Paris Lavoisier, 2011).

Margot PELLEGRINO
Margot Pellegrino is architect and PhD in urban planning and development. Her works focus on the links between buildings, occupant behaviors, thermal comfort and energy consumption. She is currently researcher at Lab’Urba.

Jacques-Aristide PERRIN
Graduated in social science and sustainable development, I worked in municipality as Agenda 21 assignment manager. My PhD in geography deals with the concept of ecological continuity of river and its implementations on two fields with presence of hydroelectricity.

Chrystele PHILIPPS-BERTIN
Chrystèle Philipps-Bertin, Ph.D. Environmental Psychologist, researcher at the Transport and Environment Laboratory (LTE) of IFSTTAR. Conducts studies on social acceptability of technological or behavioral solutions to environmental problems from transport.
Communication : Assessing the acceptability of electric cars by the scenario method.


Magali PIERRE
After a master’s Degree in Sociology in 2001 (University René-Descartes), Magali Pierre has joined the social sciences research team GRETS at EDF R&D where she investigates issues about households energy uses. She has then focused on residential evolutions and on individual mobility, and more specifically on the emerging electric vehicle in France since 2007. Her recent work has consisted in bringing in a sociological support to trials rolling out electric vehicles and charging infrastructure; she analyses the appropriation of this innovation and the eventual changes in the users’ mobility system (trips, parking and relation to energy…) and in the fleet managers’ organisation.

Lenaïc POUPON
PhD student in social psychology and work psychology. His thesis is conducted within IFSTTAR (French Establish Science and Technology of Transport, Development and Networks), and GRePS at Université Lumière Lyon 2. His thesis is about the dimensions of psychosocial acceptability of electric cars.

Violeta RAMIREZ
Violeta Ramirez studied Social Anthropology at the University of Buenos Aires and completed her studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Master 2 in Ethnology) and at Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense University (Master 2 in Anthropological and documentary cinema). She is currently preparing her PhD in visual anthropology about energy sobriety at Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense University, in the department of History of Art and Representations (H.A.R). She also teaches on the master Anthropological and documentary cinema at the same institution.

Emmanuel RAVALET
Emmanuel Ravalet is an engineer, socio-economist and Senior Researcher at the Urban Sociology Laboratory (LaSur) at École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is investigating the daily mobility behaviours and social inequality linked. He is particularly interested in the role of space in the construction of life styles and in social and environmental issues linked.
Communication : From residential location to energy consumptions in the house and through mobility.


Françoise REFABERT
Françoise Réfabert founded in November 2010 Vesta Conseil&Finance, a firm specialised in counseling public authorities for the setting up of energy policies in order to enhance energy efficiency measures, such as a public service for housing energy refurbishment. Françoise Réfabert collaborated to the collective book: « 5 millions de logements à rénover en 5 ans – 10 propositions techniques, financières, juridiques et filière pour réussir la transition énergétique », préfacé par Corinne Lepage (Edition Décisions Durables, 2013).

Vincent RENAULD-GIARD
Vincent Renauld-Giard is a Civil and Urban Planning engineer from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA Lyon). He holds a PhD in urban planning and has just published a book on ecofriendly neighborhoods in France (EPFL Press, May 2014). His research focuses on the way inhabitants and workers use ecological and technological innovations. He joined the Chair in September 2014 as a postdoctoral researcher in conjunction with the CSTB (Economics and Social Sciences Department).

Ignacio Requena-Ruiz is an architect, PhD in architecture and associate professor. The author belong to CERMA laboratory, UMR CNRS-MCC-ECN 1563 Architectural and Urban Ambiances/Atmospheres of the ENSA Nantes.

Valentin RIBOULE
Valentin Riboule is the co-directors of n-clique sociological studies network. He had majored in sociology and their approach relies on the application of survey methods in different contexts and several field of research.

Cameron ROBERTS
Cameron Roberts is a third-year PhD student at the Manchester Innovation of Innovation Research. He studies the public perception of transport transitions, particularly the move from a rail-dominated transport system to a road-dominated transport system in the United States and the United Kingdom during the twentieth century.

Anaïs ROCCI
Sociologist (Master of Social Sciences, PhD at Paris V Sorbonne University), Anaïs Rocci is an expert in the analysis of mobility behaviour changes and tools for mobility management as individualized marketing. Her research focuses more broadly on mobility practices and modal choices; new mobility offers and new mobility trends (bikes, electric bikes, bikesharing, carsharing, carpooling, electric/hybrid vehicles, etc.), but also lifestyles and residential strategies.
Communication 1 : What are the strategies of households experiencing energy vulnerability in order to cope with rising energy prices?

Thomas ROILLET
Thomas ROILLET is an engineer specialist of the renewable energies. He pilots various research projects within the framework of the ENSAM (MECHANICAL AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING SCHOOL) of Lille. He also manages a co-operative for the development of photovoltaic power plants.
