The objective of the 1st Colloquium on the Sociology of Energy was to better understand the role and contribution of the sociology of energy in the public arena by examining five main themes:

• Approaches within the field of the sociology of energy: models and theoretical frameworks used

• The sociology of energy and its methods

• Stakeholders, professions and skills
